Our Academy is a Certified Training Facility with the Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan, which is an international organization with thousands of members across the world. All students are required to be a member of the Moo Duk Kwan prior to their first test. Students have the opportunity to participate in numerous Regional, National and International camps, tournaments and seminars.

Jesse Moley is the owner and Head Instructor of Moo Do Martial Arts Academy. He has been training since 2002 in the South Korean martial art called Soo Bahk Do. Previously known as Tang Soo Do. He has been teaching since the age of 14. He currently holds the rank of 3rd Degree midnight blue belt (traditional black belt) and is a certified instructor through the Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan. He has also competed in numerous Regional and National Tournaments with great success. He has hosted numerous events for the organization and enjoys giving back to the community.
Bella
Junior instructor Isabella Daily has been training under Kyo Sa Nim Moley since 2020 and has achieved the rank of 1st Degree midnight blue belt (traditional black belt). Ms. Daily is a certified assistant instructor through the Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan.
Robert
Coach Robert Box has been training since 2009 in Mixed Martial Arts and offers a great deal of knowledge with his Boxing and Self-Defense classes. Coach Box also has experience coaching fighters in amateur level Boxing, Kickboxing and MMA matches.
OUR GOALS
Our Academy focuses our studies around the five Moo Do Values, which are History, Tradition, Philosophy, Discipline/ Respect and Technique. Our traditional martial arts program has the belt ranking of white, orange, green, red and midnight blue (traditional black belt). Students are expected to hold themselves accountable for personal growth with the guidance from our instructors. Through consistent training, there will be a noticeable change in the overall well-being of the student. He or she will develop discipline/ respect, physical skills, self-control/ self-confidence, and self-defense, which will lead to the ultimate goal of keeping a healthy and safe lifestyle.

Why should I start Karate
A lot of people think about Karate or Martial Arts as the stuff you see on movies. All the stuff is good,but a lot of people don’t see themselves doing that or feel some of the things portrayed is unrealistic.When you train at our Academy, we will focus on what we call the 5 Moo Do Values; Tradition, History,Philosophy, Discipline/Respect and Technique. Focusing on these areas will help build mental and physical fortitude that will benefit students for the rest of their live.
What kind of commitment is required?
We recommend training twice a week. You can make as big or as little of a commitment as you want to. The move you train, the more you will get out of the program.
What is the schedule like?

What age groups do you accept?
The youngest we will accept students is 4 years old. We separate classes by age and rank.
Am I too old to start?
Absolutely not! We have had the opportunity to train students well into their 70’s and 80’s. Techniques and other requirements can be modified to help keep all students safe, regardless of age and ability.
Can I watch classes before I start?
We offer a free trial class to make sure it is a good fit for the student. Make sure you set up a time with Moley, KSN for your free trail class.
What all do I have to buy before I start?
All students will be required to purchase a traditional Karate uniform. Uniforms cost $35 and can be purchased through our Academy.
How much does it cost?
Tuition is month to month and cost $85 a month. All students will be required to be a member of the United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan before their first test.
What forms of payment is accepted?
We accept cash, check, card and Pay Pal.
What should I bring with me?
Our classes normally run between 30-45 minutes. Students typically are not allowed to get drinks in between classes but can bring something if they would like. Uniforms and belts should be clean and worn every class unless the instructor gives permission.
Can visitors watch class?
Yes! We are a family oriented Martial Arts school. We not only allow visitors, but encourage family and friends to come watch and support our students. All of our students are considered our Karate Family.
Are tournaments and extra events required?
No. Students are not required to compete in any tournament or extra event, but is always encouraged.
Why are the Black belts, Midnight Blue?
The purpose behind our belts being Midnight Blue and not black are from the belief that black and signify death or perfection. It is our belief that a practitioner will never be perfect, but will also strive to improve.
How long will it take me to get a Midnight Blue belt?
The minimum amount of time it takes to achieve your Midnight Blue belt is 4 years. Depending on the students, age, memory, commitment and skill level will all be factors that could decided the duration it would take to attain your Midnight Blue belt.
